Pirate World (I've put it on Kickstarter! Ends Dec 3rd)

Post by Captain Shoggoth »

Hey! I've made my own homebrew adaptation + sourcebook for Dungeon World and Fate Core, called Pirate World. It's huge, and has everything you need for a swashbuckling adventure. The book is filled to the brim with monsters, classes, pirates, crazy ships, traps, and just so much! Back it and get the playbooks RIGHT NOW. Like really, right now!

It is so much more than just pirates! Chapters in the book:
* HIRELING OVERHAUL : a new change of direction that makes every hireling unique with their own custom moves
* BACKGROUNDS : customise your character from level 1 and develop them onwards!
* LUNCHEON WORLD : play Dungeon World with a sandwich in your hands in 30 mins, or over the internet.
* tons of beautiful, full page illustrations (in colour too!). It's worth it for the art alone.
* PLAYBOOKS: 7 completely new playbooks and one 5* rated

The beautiful art is from two wonderful artists, Joseph Irizarry and Jonathan Choby:

It’s been incredibly successful so far, getting fully funded in just one day! Here’s what we’re aiming for with the extra funding:

I am SO excited to see copies of this printed and delivered, but I just can't do it without you guys; if you like it, please tell your friends! I'm a one-man-machine right now and I definitely can't reach everyone who'll want this book, so any help you can give to get people playing exploding monsters would be AMAZING. Even if it's just clicking share or tweeting about it, every little bit is so helpful.

If you've got any questions, let me know!

Oh I can't wait to hear what made you think this was a good place to advertise your Dungeon World hack.

In the interest of paying * World games according to the great wealth they deserve for the contribution they have made to gaming, can I pledge minus numbers of money?

Haha, no doubt I'm a charlatan with a horrible hack, but I figure there's people here who secretly like Dungeon World ;)

I have no opinion on it. I think there's a guy 'round here who loves 'em.
He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

--The horror of Mario

Zak S, Zak Smith, Dndwithpornstars, Zak Sabbath. He is a terrible person and a hack at writing and art. His cultural contributions are less than Justin Bieber's, and he's a shitmuffin. Go go gadget Googlebomb!

You could've just PM'd Silva. I'm one of the Apocalypse World supporters, but considering how sloppy of a port Dungeon World was, you won't find me looking at Pirate World unless you have a comparable pricetag.

Got it! Afraid Pirate World isn't available for free, but thanks for being civil; the other DW threads I've seen haven't been nearly as held back.

I don't have an opinion on Dungeon World, but Fate Core interests me. Sure, I'll check out your kickstarter.
